This driver agreement page explains what you need to know. This agreement applies to everyone who registers as a Driver on FurShipper. Please read it carefully before you accept.

1. Independent business

You are an independent business, not an employee, agent, partner or joint venturer of FurShipper. You decide whether to bid, which trips to take, and how to carry them out, within the requirements of this agreement. You are responsible for your own taxes, licenses, insurance, vehicle costs and any employees you use.

2. Eligibility and verification

  • You must be at least 18, legally able to work and drive in the United States, and hold a valid driver’s license.
  • To bid, your account must be approved, with a verified government ID or driver’s license and proof of insurance, at least one registered vehicle, and an active membership.
  • Everything you submit must be true and current. You must renew documents before they expire. If a required document expires, your bidding is switched off until it is renewed and verified.
  • FurShipper may verify, reject or re-request documents and may suspend or remove accounts.

3. Membership fee

Drivers pay a membership fee to bid. Current prices and any free trial are shown on the Pricing and Fees page and when you subscribe. Membership renews until you cancel; if a payment fails or the membership ends, bidding is paused until it is active again. FurShipper does not take a share of your trip fee.

4. Bidding

  • Bid only on trips you can actually complete, with pickup and delivery times you can meet.
  • Your bid is the total fee for your service. Do not add charges the customer was not told about.
  • Be honest in your profile, vehicle details, equipment and reviews.

5. Getting paid

The customer pays your fee directly to you, in person at pickup. FurShipper does not collect, hold, guarantee or pay out driver fees. Agree the payment method with the customer in chat. You must confirm in the app that you received payment before the trip moves to “in transit”. You are responsible for reporting your income and paying your taxes.

6. Care of the animal

  • Treat every animal humanely and follow the customer’s feeding, medication and care instructions.
  • Use a safe, ventilated, clean vehicle, secure crates or restraints, and keep the animal at a safe temperature at all times. Never leave an animal unattended in a parked vehicle.
  • Take photos at pickup and delivery as required by the app, and log trip events honestly and promptly.
  • Comply with all laws for transporting animals, including any health certificates and state rules.

7. PINs and handoffs

Ask the customer for the pickup PIN at pickup and the delivery PIN at drop-off, and enter them in the app. Never ask for or accept a PIN by any other means, and never hand a pet to someone who cannot provide it.

8. Communication

Keep communication on FurShipper. Do not try to move customers off the platform to avoid platform rules, or share contact details in chat before a booking is confirmed.

9. Cancellations and lateness

  • You may cancel a booking before pickup, but the customer is refunded in full and your cancellation is recorded.
  • If you cancel 3 bookings within 30 days (current setting), your bidding is paused until our team reviews and restores it.
  • You cannot cancel in the app after pickup. Complete the delivery or contact support immediately.
  • If you will miss your committed delivery time, request more time in the app. Repeated lateness without an approved extension is reviewed and can lead to suspension.

10. Insurance

You must keep insurance that is valid and adequate for transporting animals for compensation, and you must notify us if it lapses. You are responsible for damage or injury caused by you or your vehicle. Any Pet Protection Plan a customer buys is a separate product and does not replace your own insurance.

11. Reviews and conduct

Customers may rate and review you. Do not pressure customers for reviews or offer anything in return. Harassment, discrimination, fraud, or unsafe conduct results in removal.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access at any time for breach of this agreement, unsafe conduct, or risk to animals or people. You may stop using FurShipper and cancel your membership at any time. Sections that by their nature should continue (payments owed, indemnity, liability limits) survive termination.

13. Liability and indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for the trips you perform and agree to indemnify FurShipper against claims arising from your services, your vehicle, your breach of this agreement or the law. FurShipper’s liability to you is limited as set out in the Terms of Use.

14. Changes, governing law and contact

We may update this agreement and will ask you to accept material changes. It is governed by the laws of the United States. Contact: support@furshipper.com. This agreement should be read with the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

Why the Driver Agreement Exists

This driver agreement exists to protect three parties at once: the pet in the back seat, the customer trusting a stranger with their animal, and you as an independent driver building a reputation on FurShipper.

You’re not asked to accept the driver agreement blind, read the eligibility, insurance, and cancellation sections closely, since those affect whether you can keep bidding on trips.
