This canceled shipments policy page explains what you need to know. Customers plan around your commitment, so cancel only when you truly can’t do the trip. This page explains how cancelling works and what it means for your account.
When you can cancel
You can cancel a booking any time before pickup. Once you have picked up the pet, you can’t cancel in the app. Complete the delivery, or contact support immediately if there is an emergency.
How to cancel
- Open the booking from My Bids.
- Choose Cancel booking.
- Read the summary, explain why, and confirm.
What happens when you cancel
- The customer is notified and refunded the full booking fee automatically.
- Your bid is withdrawn and the customer’s listing reopens so other drivers can bid.
- The trip is locked. You can no longer log trip events on it.
- The cancellation is added to your record.
Cancellation limit
Too many cancellations hurt customers, so bidding is paused if you cancel 3 bookings within 30 days (current settings). Your dashboard shows how many you’ve used, and warns you before you confirm.
If bidding is paused, contact support. After review, an admin can reset your count and restore bidding. Cancellations that happened before the reset no longer count.
Your fee
Your fee is paid to you directly by the customer, so a cancellation doesn’t involve any payout from FurShipper. If a customer has already paid you anything, arrange the return with them directly.
Running late is different
If you may miss your committed delivery time, request more time with Request more time on the booking instead of going silent. Repeated lateness without an approved extension is reviewed by our team.
TIP
Check your calendar and vehicle before bidding. Bidding only on trips you can complete is the best way to protect your rating and your bidding access.
Why the Canceled Shipments Policy Has a Limit
A canceled shipments policy with no limit at all would let a handful of bad actors ruin trust for every driver on the platform.
The 3-in-30-days threshold is set high enough that normal life (a sick day, a breakdown), doesn’t put you at risk of losing bidding access under this policy.
If bidding gets paused, it’s not permanent. Contact support, explain what happened, and a real person reviews the account before deciding whether to reset it.
The count resets after review, not after a fixed waiting period, so a driver who explains a genuine one-off situation isn’t stuck behind an arbitrary clock.
